Spreadtrum umumkan dukungan buat OS Tizen


Spreadtrum Communications, perusahaan semikonduktor fabless terkemuka di China dengan teknologi canggih di standar komunikasi nirkabel 2G, 3G and 4G, hari ini mengumumkan bahwa mereka telah berhasil menyelesaikan integrasi sistem operasi (OS) Tizen dengan chipset WCDMA milik Spreadtrum. Platform yang terintegrasi ini sekarang dikirimkan melalui smartphone Tizen Samsung pertama, Z1, yang dirilis pada bulan Januari 2015 untuk pasar India.

Samsung Z1 menjalankan OS Tizen 2.3 dan platform yang mengintegrasikan chipset mobile Spreadtrum SC7727S, yang dilengkapi dengan prosesor dual-core WCDMA 1,2GHz. Spreadtrum Announces Support for Tizen Operating System

Samsung’s Z1, its first Tizen smartphone now launched in India, combines Spreadtrum’s WCDMA chipsets with the Tizen operating system

Shanghai, CHINA – Feb 12th, 2015 –Spreadtrum Communications, a leading fabless semiconductor company in China with advanced technology in 2G, 3G and 4G wireless communications standards, today announced that it has successfully completed the integration of the Tizen operating system (OS) with Spreadtrum’s WCDMA chipsets. This integrated platform is now shipping in Samsung’s first Tizen smartphone, the Z1, released in January 2015 to the Indian market.

The Z1 runs the Tizen 2.3 OS and integrates Spreadtrum’s SC7727S mobile chipset platform, which features a 1.2Ghz dual-core WCDMA processor. The device, which retails for $92, also sports a 3.1 megapixel camera, 4 GB of on-board memory, and is bundled with a variety of content and service offers.
